Kiukainen

Kiukainen (Swedish Kiukais ) is a former municipality with 3,338 inhabitants in Western Finland. It lies about 45 km east of the port city of Pori in the landscape Satakunta. In Kiukainen only Finnish is spoken.

The beginning of 2009 Kiukainen was incorporated into the neighbor municipality Eura.

The municipality existed since 1872 and next to the village church Kiukainen includes the towns of Eurakoski, Harola, Köylypolvi, Laihia, Laukola, Mäkelä, Panelia and Rahvola. Since 1989, the community maintains a partnership with the Russian city Boksitogorsk.
