Kiyoko Shimahara

Kiyoko Shimahara (Japanese嶋 原 清 子, Shimahara Kiyoko, born December 22, 1976 today Suo - Oshima, Yamaguchi Prefecture) is a Japanese marathon runner.

In 2003, she presented at the Katsuta Marathon with 2:28:17 a course record. In the same year she was third at the Tokyo International Women's Marathon, and a year later they improved there for a place. In 2005, she posed as second in the Hokkaido Marathon with 2:26:14, a personal best. In 2006, she was third at the Osaka Women's Marathon and fifth at the Boston Marathon.

In a marathon, the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka she finished sixth and won bronze in the team competition. In 2008 she won the Honolulu Marathon, and the 2009 Hokkaido Marathon, where she increased her best performance to 2:25:10, while setting a course record.

Kiyoko Shimahara is 1,54 m tall and weighs 43 kg. She is a graduate of the University Kokushikan and starts since 2007 for the Second Wind AC.
