Kiyoshige Koyama

Kiyoshige Koyama (Japanese小山 清 茂; born January 15, 1914 in Yawata, Sarashina County (now Nagano ), Nagano prefecture, Japan, † 6 June 2009) was a Japanese composer and music educator.

He graduated in 1933, the Nagano shihan Gakko ( "Normal School Nagano "). This was followed by a 22- year-long work as a teacher at various schools. In 1955, he focused solely on the composition. He had studied, among others, at Abe Komei and Ikenouchi Tomojiro (1906-1991) composition. His first composition took part in the Composition division of the Music Competition of Japan on Composition Competition 1946. 1957, 1959 and 1962 he received for his works submitted awards and prizes. Besides being a composer he was too - until his retirement - a professor at the Kobe Yamate joshi tanki daigaku ( " Women's Short high school Kobe Yamate "; engl Kobe Yamate Women 's Junior College. ).
