Klæbu is a commune (municipality ) in the central Norwegian county Sør -Trøndelag.

It is located about 20 km south of the city Trondheim in the valley of the River Nidelva. On this river located solely within the boundaries Klæbus three hydropower plants. The municipal coat of arms is a stylized representation of the waterfall Trang Fossen, who is now sunk below the level of the reservoir Bjørsjøen.
