Klagenfurt Hauptbahnhof is a through station in the city of Klagenfurt in the Austrian state of Carinthia and, with its up to 190 trains per day to the most important transport hub in the south of Austria!

History

In 1863 Klagenfurt was connected to the Southern Railway, and a central station Klagenfurt- St. Ruprecht built. Klagenfurt am Whörtersee should the center of the railways in Carinthia are, however, the city fathers opposed it, so that today Villach Hauptbahnhof take on this role at that time. The Klagenfurt station was not until 1938 in the town of Klagenfurt, only through the incorporation of St. Ruprecht the station was renamed to Klagenfurt Hauptbahnhof. Hoke artwork
