Klaudia Schifferle

Klaudia Schifferle ( born September 22, 1955 in Zurich ) is a Swiss painter, sculptor and illustrator. Until 1983 she was a member of the all-female band Kleenex / Liliput.

Life and work

Schifferle grew up in Zurich. After a sale doctrine she attended from 1973 to 1976, the F F School for Art and Media Design in Zurich. In 1975 she received a grant from the City of Zurich, as well as 1977 and 1980 funding contributions of Canton Aargau. In 1977, she was a singer and bassist founding member of the all-female band Kleenex (later Liliput ). As a musician, lyricist, author, actress and visual artist, she was in contact with the "movement" called youth subculture in Zurich.

In 1980 she participated in the exhibition lap of luxury at the Municipal Gallery for Strauhof in Zurich and received the Kiefer Hablitzel scholarship. In 1982, she was 27 years old - become the youngest artist - invited by Rudi Fuchs for Documenta 7. In 1983 she was awarded the prize of the Montreux Jazz Festival ( as a musician ) and the price of Vordemberge- Gildewart Foundation (as an artist ). In 1988, she moved to Milan and from there in 1991 in a mountain village in the canton of Ticino.

Schifferle lives and works since 2002 in Zurich.
