Klaus Barthel

Klaus Barthel ( born December 28, 1955 in Munich) is a German politician ( SPD).

Life and career

After finishing high school in Munich Klaus Barthel earned a degree in political science, sociology and history at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich where he obtained a Master of Arts. In between, he did his community service and then worked as a union secretary for youth and vocational training at the district headquarters in Bavaria the Union for the Public Services, Transport and Transport, which merged in Verdi 2002. He is on leave since his election to the Bundestag without remuneration.

Party

Since 1975 Klaus Barthel is a member of the SPD. From 1983 to 1988 he was chairman of the Young Socialists southern Bavaria and was in this function the SPD district Board of southern Bavaria. In 1991 he was elected deputy chairman of the SPD district Upper Bavaria and held this office until 2000. He was re- elected Deputy District Chairman in Upper Bavaria and appointed in this position most recently in 2009, 2005. Since 2007, he serves on the State Executive Committee and since 2009 the Bureau of Bavaria SPD. 2009 appointed him the Association for Labour Affairs in the SPD ( depreciation ) as its state chairman in Bavaria. In April 2010 he was also elected as Deputy Chairman of the Federal Executive depreciation; since April 2012 and is currently its Chairman.

Member of Parliament

Since 1994, Barthel is a member of the German Bundestag. He stood as a candidate in each constituency in the Bundestag Starnberg, he could not win, and pulled over the national list of the SPD in the Bundestag. From 2002 to 2009 he was deputy speaker of the National Group of Bavaria in the Bundestag. His main areas of responsibility are in the economic and social policy. Since 2009 he has been deputy economics spokesman of his group, in which he holds reporting capabilities in the areas of network management, ie for telecommunications, postal services, energy and rail. It stands as Alternate President to the Advisory Committee to the Federal Network Agency. As a regular member, he is the Committee on Economic and technologies, the Board of Trustees of the Federal Agency for Civic Education and the Board pursuant to § 23 c paragraph 8 Customs Investigation Service Act.

Barthel is a member of the European Union Parliamentarians German Bundestag.

Political Position

Klaus Barthel the party left is assigned. With his voting record he contradicted repeatedly majority decisions of the SPD parliamentary group, in his view, did not conform to the principles and decisions of his party.
