Klaus Brandner

Klaus Konrad August Brandner ( born January 13, 1949 in Bentorf ) is a German politician ( SPD). Since 1998 he is member of the German Bundestag from 2007 to 2009 and was Parliamentary Secretary to the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.

Life and career

Post-high school in 1965 Brandner trained as an electrical engineer, which he finished in 1968. He then worked until 1969 in his learned profession, and then made ​​up to 1971 the military service. He then worked as a technical employee and changed in 1973 as a union secretary for the IG Metall. In 1983 he was Managing Director and Second Authorized Representative and 1988 Managing Director and Principal Representative of IG Metall Gütersloh.

Klaus Brandner is married and has two sons.

Party
