Klaus Kofler

Klaus Kofler ( born December 8, 1981 in Schlanders ) is an Italian luger.

Klaus Kofler from Kastel Bell toboggan since 1995. Since 2002 the sport soldier is a member of the Italian national squad. First Kofler drove in single-seaters. His debut at the Luge World Cup he was in season 2002/ 03. His first race in which he was 34, he played in Oberhof. For the season 2003/04 season he became the man behind the double -seater. Up to and including the 2007/08 season he joined with Hans Peter Fischnaller. His debut at the Luge World Cup was the duo Fischnaller / Kofler in the first race of the season 2003/ 04, where they were in Sigulda 16. This season, only followed by another application. Since the subsequent season in which the double denied all races, they launched permanently in the World Cup. Best results of the Italians were seventh ranks in Lake Placid and Calgary. A fall in the last race in Winterberg prevented a place among the top ten in the overall standings, so both were Eleventh. The following season brought for Fischnaller / Kofler any improvements, they were at the end of 13th overall. In the two following season, the double deteriorated steadily, if only slightly.

Multiple Kofler was visibly absent with Fischnaller at major international events. The Luge World Cup in 2005, they finished as 13th, 2007 14 and 2008 in Oberhof better than 12 yet it ran at the Luge Championships 2006 in Winterberg, where the double ninth was in 2008 in Cesana Pariol it occupied position eleven. Since the 2008/ 09 season is Patrick Schwienbacher Fischnallers new doubles partner.
