Klaus " Schlappi " Schlappner (born 22 May 1940 Lampert home ) is a German football coach.

Career

Klaus Schlappner ( " Schlappi " ) was active as a football player in the clubs Olympia Lampert Home, VfB Lampert Home, FV Biblis, VfR Buerstadt, VfR Ludwigshafen and Southwest Ludwigshafen, where he for the latter club in the 1965/66 season four games in the then second-class Regional Southwest denied ..

His first coach places he performed at FC Alemannia wholesale Rohrsheim at 1911 eV and FV Biblis. From 1977 to 1980 he was an assistant coach at SV Darmstadt 98, first under Lothar Buchmann, then later under Jörg Berger and Werner Olk. From April to June 1979, he was temporarily in charge as interim coach for the team after Buchmann had left the club towards Stuttgart. In 1980 he completed the training to become football coaches from the Sports University in Cologne.

From 1980, he coached the then second division club SV Waldhof Mannheim. With this club he managed in 1983 promotion to the Bundesliga. After four successful years he left the 1987 Bundesliga SV Waldhof Mannheim.

He later coached the teams FC Carl Zeiss Jena, SV Darmstadt 98, 1 FC Saarbrücken. On 14 January 1996 he was again coach of SV Waldhof Mannheim, who played at this time in the 2nd Bundesliga. In October of the same year he was released.

Between 1992 and 1995 Schlappner went to China, where he became coach of the Chinese national football team and technical consultant of the local football association. In the years 2000/2001 he was engaged in Iran. There he coached the club Paykan Tehran and was instrumental in the introduction of a professional league in Iran.

2006 was used for the promotion of sports relations with the Third World countries in the context of cultural policy abroad by German Klaus Schlappner NOK. In this context, he was also briefly active as an instructor of children and youth coaches in Mongolia.

April 8, 2008 Sun, Dean presented the Sports University in Shijiazhuang, Klaus Schlappner an honorary professorship. In his lectures Klaus Schlappner mainly mediated educational football fundamentals and techniques.

Trademarks

Listeners were his trademark floppy Pepitahut and his pithy sayings in a wide Kurpfälzer dialect. For example, he refers to his Mannheim team after a defeat against Borussia Moenchengladbach as " FC bunch of chickens ."

Policy

Klaus Schlappner resigned in protest against the 68-movement in the municipal elections of 1968 in his hometown Lampert home for the NPD. He was however leaked again after a year and cherish no sympathy for right-wing extremists.

Schlappner has three children. His son Volker (born 1964 ) played a second division game for Darmstadt 98
