Klaus Thomsen

Klaus Thomsen ( born April 26, 1986 in Haderslev, Denmark ) is a Danish handball player and coach.

Career

Klaus Thomsen's first stations as handball players were team Næstved IF and Haderslev. In the summer of 2004, the back player Viborg HK joined. Him threw initially repeatedly injuries, whereupon it the second division Lemvig - Thyborøn Håndbold joined. 2009 increased Lemvig on in the highest Danish league. After Lemvig had to take the course in 2012 in the second division, the defense specialist joined Team Tvis Holstebro. With Team Tvis Holstebro he was in the Final Four of the EHF European Cup 2012/13. In addition to his playing career, he has worked as a coach of a youth team of TVis KFUM and at the Elite Sports Academy in Holstebro. From the 2014/15 season he is at Bjerringbro - Silkeborg under contract.

Klaus Thomsen announced on April 5, 2013 his debut for the Danish national team. Previously, he was already on the B team. At the European Championships in 2014 in his own country, he was Vice-European Champion.

Private

His sister Lene Thomsen also belonged to the squad of the Danish national handball team.
