Klaus Wöller

Klaus Wöller ( born April 23, 1956 in Hannover ) is a former German handball player who in 1984 won the Olympic silver medal.

The 1.87 meter tall goalkeeper played from 1976 in Handball - Bundesliga. In 1981 he won with TuS Nettelstedt the DHB Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup. Late in his career played Wöller at the Reinickendorfer foxes in Berlin.

Klaus Wöller played in a total of 72 international matches in the German national team. On November 20, 1976, he was in Ploesti, Romania against his international debut. In the Handball World Cup 1982, he finished with the German team to seventh place. Successful team was at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Wöller worked in Los Angeles in five games with, even in the final at the 18:17 loss to Yugoslavia, where Wöller second goalkeeper behind Andreas Thiel was. In December 1985, Klaus Wöller completed his last international match against Iceland.
