Klaxons

The Klaxons are a four-piece British indie - rock-pop band.

Band History

The band was formed in London under the name Klaxons (Not Centaurs ) 2005. From the British music press, especially the magazine New Musical Express, she was already classified as a genre typical representative of the New Rave Soon after its establishment because of its combination of rock music and elements of electronic music ( Electro, Rave ).

In April 2006, appeared under the title Gravity's Rainbow, the debut single of the band in an edition of 500 copies. The second single Atlantis To Interzone only appeared in an edition of 1,000 copies, but scored significantly stronger airplay. After that, the four musicians received a recording contract with Polydor Records. Their debut album, Myths of the Near Future managed early February 2007 to debut at No. 2 in the UK album charts.

In addition, produced the Klaxons together with the Chemical Brothers track 'All Rights Reversed ' on their 2007 released album "We Are the Night".

Certain influences in terms of song names and lyrics, can be found in Aleister Crowley, for example, in the song Magick.
