Kleiber's law

Kleiber's law describes the relationship between mass and metabolism of animals. Situated it was by Max Kleiber.

According to this law, the metabolism scales with the power of 0.75 with body mass:

There is a body size independent normalization constant. In farm animals, for example, is expected.

This relationship is also found in many other physiological processes such as heart rate.
