Kleinau is a district of the city Arendsee ( Altmark) in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Kleinau is situated in the Altmark, about ten kilometers south of Arendsee ( Altmark), where the B 190 runs the next highway. The district of Kleinau is consisted partly of pine forests and extends partially into a lowland area. The landscape around Kleinau is the location of numerous wet meadows. The economic life is characterized by the cultivation of lettuce and cabbage fields in the " Agro Farm Kleinau ".

Furthermore, the deserted village of the former place Buckau lies on the boundary Kleinaus. The village was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War.

History

Today the municipality Kleinau belonging villages were all at the earliest mentions in the 12th and 13th centuries. The first written evidence of Kleinau dates from 1274, Dessau was first published in 1297 in the records and wages was called from 1366.

Due to a change in the contract area, the municipal council of the municipality Kleinau decided on 18 May 2009 that the church Kleinau is incorporated into the city Arendsee ( Altmark). This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

After incorporation of the previously autonomous municipality Kleinau Kleinau, Dessau and wages are districts of the city Arendsee ( Altmark). For powered finished my community the village constitution according to § § 86 et seq Municipal Code Saxony -Anhalt has been introduced. The municipality is my finished Kleinau and future districts Kleinau, Dessau and wages were the village of receiving city Arendsee ( Altmark). In the eingemeindeten community and nunmehrigen village Kleinau a Ortschaftsrat was formed with nine members including mayor.

Attractions

The municipal area, three sacral find: a brick building from 1896 in wages, a stone church from the 13th century in Dessau and in Kleinau another stone church from the 12th century. In the district of wages is next to a Bronze Age burial ground and the very old oak trees to mention. Culture History outstanding is in Dessau, a militia, which is located on the road to Heiligenfelde and is one of the best preserved forts of its kind in the Altmark. Worth seeing are still a stone cross in the main town Kleinau and a school museum.
