Kleinlobming is a municipality with 651 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district court district Mur and Jews Castle in Styria.

Geography

Geographical Location

Kleinlobming is located approximately 6.5 km south of Knittelfeld in Lobmingbachtal on the northwestern slope of the Gleinalpe.

The municipality comprises the Lobmingbachtal with the accompanying slopes of the valley Gleinalpe. The highest point is 1,670 meters above sea level the stone plan. The deepest point is 660 m of the point where the Lobmingbach the municipality leaves the direction of Mur.

Community structure

The municipality is divided into the two local villages and towns of the same name, Kleinlobming ( 391 inhabitants) and Mitterlobming (252 ) ( inhabitants as of 2011).

Incorporations

Today's church was built in 1958 from the merger of the two communities Kleinlobming and Mitterlobming.

As part of the Styrian community structure reform the church Kleinlobming will be fused (at the latest in 2015) with the community Großlobming.

Neighboring communities

History

The settlement of the Lobmingtales was in the 7th and 8th century AD by Slavic settlers. This can be derived (from lomnik ) by the Slavic place names Lobming (from lom ) and Lobmingbach.

The first written record comes from the year 927. 1066 received the Eppensteiner the parochial rights of the Church to Lomnicha at the foot of Alpe Piber ( = Stubalpe ). For the 12th and 13th centuries the Ministerialengeschlecht the Lobminger is to prove the remains of one of their castles are located in Sulzgraben.

1849/50 the municipality Kleinlobming was built.

Population

Kleinlobming had 2001 721 inhabitants according to the census. 96.3 % of the population possess Austrian citizenship. For the Roman Catholic Church to 96.5 % of the population, 0.1% profess the evangelical church. 2.5 % have no religious confession.

Economy and infrastructure

According to Census of 2001, there are 34 workplaces with 118 employees in the community as well as 198 commuters and 50 commuters. There are 80 agricultural and forestry holdings ( including 42 in the main acquisition ), which together manage 4133 ha ( 1999). The forest area is approximately 3500 ha

The transport infrastructure is via country road Lobmingerstraße L 504 on the southern boundary of the municipality runs the Gaberl road B 77, the connection from the Murboden towards Graz.

In addition to some wood processed holdings play the inns along the road Gaberl and the small ski Kleinlobming and the outdoor pool economically a certain role in the economically underdeveloped community.

Policy

The council consists of nine members and is since the municipal elections 2010 mandatary of the following parties together:

The ÖVP is the mayor Anton Reissner.

Coat of arms

Since June 1, 1993 Lobming is to guide a municipality coat of arms, which is dedicated to St. Thomas, entitled. Blazon (Coat of Arms description): " In a red shield with golden edges in thistle leaf cut golden growing a lance, a deciduous crown by pushing ".
