Kleptoparasitism

Kleptoparasitismus called taking advantage of services of other life forms, for example, by stealing food or the exploitation by foreign nesting opportunities.

Kleptoparasitismus is common among animals. Many species feed at least occasionally kleptoparasitisch, such as white-tailed eagle, the other fish-eating birds such as the osprey snatch the fish caught, or kites, which parasitize many species of birds.

More specialized Kleptoparasiten among the birds are predatory gulls and frigate birds, which attack other seabirds until they drop their prey or disgorge. Mandatory Kleptoparasiten are the thief spiders ( genus Argyrodes ) that live exclusively in the networks of orb-weaving spiders and steal the prey trapped there.

When Kleptogamie males try out a group or those with a weak status within a group to sneak a mating. This parasitize the kleptogamen male performances of other males, for example, parental care, and Kleptogamie can therefore be regarded as a form of Kleptoparasitismus.
