Klete Keller

Klete Keller ( born March 21, 1982 in Phoenix) is an American freestyle swimmer who has already won in his career multiple Olympic medals.

Career

He was part of the legendary U.S. 4 × 200-meter freestyle relay with Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and Peter Vanderkaay that in Athens the Australian supremacy over this distance broke at the 2004 Olympic Games and Olympic champion. 2007, at the World Swimming Championships in Melbourne, broke through the same season the Australian world record Grant Hackett, Michael Klim, Bill Kirby and Ian Thorpe had set up at the World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka in 2001.

Keller studied from 2000 to 2001 for two years at the University of Southern California, which, however, he again left so as to concentrate on the sport of swimming. During his time at Trojan Swim Club, the swimming team of USC, he won several competitions, including the NCAA Championships in the 200, 500 and 1650 yard freestyle distances.

Also in World Swimming Championships over the long and short track cellar was particularly impressive for the season decisions. Particularly noteworthy is the World Champion title at the Short Course World Championships 2002 on the 200 m freestyle in Moscow, as it is his only singles title. From 2004 to 2007 Keller coached at the University of Michigan under Bob Bowman and former head coach Jon Urbanchek. He left Ann Arbor again, however, and returned to USC back to finish his studies and begun to train under Dave solo.
