Klick (unit of length)
When a click is called the distance of one kilometer, especially in the U.S. military jargon. The origin of the word in this context is unknown, one theory attributes it to a shortened or colloquial slurring of the word kilometers. Became popular use in the Vietnam War in the 1960s. In English-speaking countries it is sometimes also written as click, klik or clic.
When spoken by a click, it can also be a non- dimensioned short distance.
