Klickitat County, Washington

Klickitat County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington of the United States. According to official estimates from 1 July 2007 20,097 people lived in Klickitat County. The the county seat ( county seat ) is located in Goldendale.

Geography

History

The Klickitat County was formed on December 20, 1859 from parts of Walla Walla County. It was named after the Klickitat, a Native American tribe. Capital in 1878 Goldendale, which is still the seat of the county government today.
