Klinke

The latch is a small river of 7.7 km in length, the left side flows into the city of Magdeburg at kilometer 324.7 in the same. Tributaries are the Beke, the Eulegraben (incl. Great and Little Meadow ditch ) and the Künette. They drain an area of 49 km ². The name derives from " Blade" ( torrent, gorge ).

Course

The source of the latch is located east of the resultant in the Ice Age Hängelsberge at a level of 87 meters above sea level on the western outskirts of Magdeburg. In the area of the source of the river is clear and fast flowing and the stream bed is here lined tightly by trees. The constant shadow prevents significant water vegetation. In its further course the jack feeds the Ottersleber pond and then reaches the built-up area of Magdeburg. On their way to the Elbe, the pawl passes through the districts of otter life, Lemsdorf, Sudenburg, Leipziger Strasse, Old Town and Buckau. It flows generally in an easterly direction, only in Lemsdorf it takes a significant swing to the north. The river is straightened over long distances, and the shore was partially fixed with stones. There are also fully cased sections, for example in the field of Buckenauer road. Despite the passage through the urban area about half the jack leads by standing on the banks of woody plants. The river flows in Buckenauer Klosterbergegarten garden into the Elbe.
