Klippan Municipality

Klippan is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Skåne County and the historical province Scania. The main town of the municipality is Klippan.

Klippan is also named after one of the most famous sofa models of the Swedish furniture giant Ikea.

History

1573 began the production of paper in Klippan. The municipality was formed in 1974 by merging the community Riseberga with parts of the municipality of Östra Ljungby and the former town Klippan.
