Kliton Bozgo

Kliton Bozgo ( born December 5, 1971 in Gjirokastra ) is a former Albanian football player. The striker had its most successful period in Slovenia, where he top scorer in the league was Slovenska Nogometna twice and participated in two championship wins and cup victories.

Career

Bozgo began his career in his home country at Tomori Berat. As a young player he was appointed to the men's team of the club and was the 1990/91 season with 29 -goal top scorer of the Albanian Cup, before he moved to Yugoslavia to NK Dubrava Zagreb 1992.

1993 Bozgo the NK Maribor joined in the Slovenska Nogometna league. While he finished third in the championship with the club, he moved with the team a the cup final. There he contributed with a goal to make it 3-1 second-leg victory against Mura Murska Sobota, which meant winning the title due to a 0-1 first-leg defeat. In the following year he became a successful striker in appearance, so that he was with the club vice-champion on the one hand and on the other hand was lured away by the Master NK Olimpija Ljubljana. On the side of Ermin Šiljak he reached his second cup final in Slovenia against NK Primorje succeeded by a 1-0 win and a 1-1 draw again winning the trophy.

Until 1998 Bozgo ran for the NK Olimpija, another title was denied him. He then moved in Slovenia again to reigning champion, this was his former club NK Maribor. With 15 goals this season he helped the club to a successful title defense in the league and thus placed in the scoring charts in second place behind Novica Nikčević of ND Gorica, which reach 17 goals during the season. In the subsequent season, he was on the side of Dejan Djuranovic, Simon Seslar, Marinko Galič and Amir Karič a more accurate striker. With 24 goals, he crowned the one hand to the scorer before Oskar Drobne and Uroš Barut, on the other hand he was so instrumental in the re- winning the national champion title.

The success made Bozgo beyond the territory known and the Austrian club VfB Admira Wacker Mödling secured in the summer of 2000, the services of the Albanian striker. On the side of George Datoru, Markus Katzer he played for the club in the Bundesliga against relegation. In the season 2001/ 02 he scored for the trained team of Walter Pops Although ten goals this season, yet they finished cut off the bottom of the table. The relegation was only due to the developments off the sports field, as the FC Tirol Innsbruck had to file for bankruptcy as a masterpiece and was therefore excluded from the league. In the following two seasons, the matches, as Tomasz Iwan, Adam Ledwoń or Sebastian Olszar strengthened team indeed reached places in the middle league range, but Bozgo lacked his goal threat.

In the summer of 2004 Bozgo therefore returned to Slovenia and signed a third time a contract with NK Maribor. Although he again met regularly the gate and was to end the regular season with eleven goals this season tied with Saša Ranic at the top of the scoring list, as in seventh he missed but with the club because of the poorer direct comparison against the same number of points rivals NK Drava Ptuj the championship finals and had to play in the relegation round. With seven goals in ten games the relegation round he was crowned with a total of 18 goals for a second time for the Slovenian scorer.

Nevertheless Bozgo left after one season again the club and accepted an offer of NK Drava Ptuj. In his new club but he stayed only one half of the season and then returned to Austria. His engagements with TSV Hartberg and SK Sankt Andra were also not of long duration. In the season 2007/ 08 he made his career at Mura Murska Sobota close in the second Slovenian league.
