KÅ‚omino

Kłomino (Russian: Grodek, German: Westfalenhof ) is a ghost town in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship twelve kilometers south of Borne Sulinowo (Great Born).

The place was built in 1935 as a barracks city of the Wehrmacht on the 1930 scale military training area large Born. After the Second World War, the Red Army took over the area and built houses there, garages, accommodation for the soldiers, shops and a cinema. By 1992, about 5,000 people lived in the city, which they left after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Today, living in the city, only two Ranger families with a total of twelve people.
