Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur

KR Reykjavík ( KR ) is the most successful football club from Iceland and comes from the capital Reykjavik. The official name is Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavík, which means in German about Reykjavík Football Club. The association is the Icelandic record holder in football. The ladies department is very successful.

History

The club was founded on 16 February 1899, is the oldest football club in Iceland. Your first of 26 Icelandic Championships the club won in 1912 and the last in 2013. Besides 12 Cup victories were won in Iceland.
