Description and History

The Knobkierrie is a hardwood carved stick of varying length ( about 70 cm). The handle is round and smooth sanded. The upper end is carved out to thickening, which can have different shapes, such as a sphere, a lens, angular, ovate or as a human or animal head shaped. In battle, it uses the Knobkierrie as an impact weapon in close combat or at longer distances as a throwing weapon. The lower end is often pointed to it in addition to use for piercing.
