Knopp-Labach
Knopp- Labach is a municipality in the southwest, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wallhalben.

Geography
Knopp- Labach is on the Sickinger Höhe. It consists of the districts Knopp and Labach ( about 180 inhabitants). Knopp is a mountain resort and Labach is idyllically situated in the valley. The districts are separated by three kilometers. The difference in height is about 120 m.
At Knopp- Labach includes the residential places Knoppermühle, Kreuzhof, Labachermühle and Wieselbornerhof as well as the holiday home Labach.
History

The place name Labach was first documented in 1264. The place Knopp came later.

In 2011, 79.9 percent of the population Catholic, 13.9 percent Protestant. The other belonged to a different religion or no religious affiliation were.

Parish council
The local council in Knopp- Labach consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Coat of arms
The blazon of the arms is: " In silver on black triple mount, five pieces of silver Bollen 2:1:2, right a green scythe and a green Shepherd shovel, crossed, left a rooted cutting green tree ".
It was approved in 1973 by the district government Neustadt. The five Bollen remember the former local lords, the lords of SICKINGEN.
Culture and sights
The district Labach is nationally known for its beautiful church from the mid-14th century and the cemetery with Gothic Torkapelle from the same period.

Economy and infrastructure
Knopp is dominated by agriculture. There are two full-time farms and several part-time farms. On the Knopper Karpacz, but also on the crows Berger district, for two years, six wind turbines. The population is predominantly Labacher as commuters according to their acquisition. There are four part-time farmers who engage in the sheep and deer and poultry.
