KNOX (candles)

KNOX is a trademark of the oldest Räuchermittelfabrik Germany, the " pharmacist Hermann Zwetz Räuchermittelherstellung GmbH" from Mohorn base in Saxony.

History

From 1865 onwards, offered Zwetz the Räucherkerzchen to as a remedy for whooping cough and asthma. Later the little candle for Christmas were added.

During the communist era, the company was not nationalized.

In 1997 the newly built production about 50 tons of smoked products in more than 30 fragrances are manufactured annually.

Museum

The company houses a small museum, which is much to learn about incense from Saxony, but also the rest of the world.
