Knudsen-Gas

As a Knudsen gas is a very thin gas (vacuum) referred in which the gas molecules due to the low density rarely collide with each other.

"Rare" specifically means that the mean free path is greater than the vessel size.

Thereby, the collisions between the gas molecules are negligible and therefore it may be in the Knudsen gas, for example, be no laminar flow and no boundary layer.

The name comes from the physicist Martin Knudsen.
