The Class 207 is a class of diesel-electric submarines that were built in the North Sea plants in Emden for the Norwegian Navy and used by the latter under the name Kobben class. The Class 207 is a specially tuned to the requirements of the Norwegian Navy development of class 205 A part of the boat is located in Poland in the service, Denmark has its submarine fleet now disbanded without replacement.

History

The Class 207 was the first major export draft German shipyards, the keel laying of the first boats began in 1961. At that time there was for the German shipyards still limitations in displacement by the WEU, which is why the German U- boats comparatively small, but still on the state of the art were.
