Kobukuro
Kobukuro (Japaneseコブクロ) is a Japanese band that was founded in 1998, they made their debut in 2001. The band's name is a combination of the two family names, and Shunsuke Kuroda Kentaro Kobuchi.
Members
- Kentaro Kobuchi (小 渕 健 太郎) He was born on 13 March 1977. He plays guitar and other instruments. He is the second vocalist.
- Shunsuke Kuroda (黒 田 俊 介) He was born on 18 March 1977. He is the lead singer.
History
In May 1998, Kuroda and Kobuchi met in Sakai near Osaka for the first time. Kobuchi was a merchant who would every Saturday concerts on the road. Kuroda was a physical education teacher and a street musician. In September 1998 Kobuchi Kuroda offered to a song and saw that Kuroda was not a trained guitar player. Kobuchi was the guitarist in the band. So Kobukuro was founded.
Kobukuro joined with Warner Music Japan in 2001 a contract. They made their debut with the single " YELL ", which reached the 4th place on the Oricon charts.
