Koda Line is an Irish alternative rock band from Dublin.
Originally the band started 21 Demands under the name, was established in Swords in north Dublin in 2005. Singer Steven Garrigan and guitarist Mark Prendergast knew each other since the age of eight years from the neighborhood and from the school choir. Six years later, they learned later drummer Vinny May know. Conor Linnane completed the quartet as the bassist. In the year after its founding, they participated in the fifth season of You're a Star on Irish television. They were ranked number 2 and then released the song Give Me a Minute. The song was not only the first number -one hit in Ireland, which came about solely because of downloads, the band was also the first leader without a record deal. However, in subsequent years, they could not build on the success. With the separation of Linnane 2011 came the end of the 21 Demands.
The remaining three did then with the new bassist Jason Boland under the new name Koda Line on. Already in the following year she made with the EP Koda Line 's attention. The song All I Want became a hit on the Internet and was used in the television series Grey's Anatomy and The Vampire Diaries. In the fall of 2012, the song was released as a single and reached 15th place in Ireland after all, also the music press discovered it new and took her in their forecasts for successful artist of the year 2013 ( eg, Sound of 2013, the BBC, Brand New for 2013 MTV ) on. Their debut album In a Perfect World was released in June 2013.
