Ködderitzsch

Ködderitzsch is a municipality in the northeast of the county Weimar Country and part of fulfilling community Bad Sulza. The village with 117 inhabitants, is located east of Bad Sulza and about 10 km northwest of Jena, between the district and the community Gebstedt Rannstedt.

History

A ersturkundliche mention is not yet verified. However, known is the development of the place name of Codirs in 1247 on Kodirtz ( 1337) to in 1341 Kodertsch to this Ködderitzsch.

Around the turn of the century saw Ködderitzsch 165 inhabitants. The highest population had the place treat injuries sustained in 1947, when more than a hundred refugees.

Attractions

The parish church dates from the early 17th century ( 1604-1629 ).
