Koebner phenomenon

The Isomorphic stimulus effect ( also Koebner phenomenon, according to the dermatologist Heinrich Koebner ) describes changes in the skin ( lesions ) that to possibly weeks after non-specific ( mechanical, chemical or thermal ) irritation may occur with certain skin diseases minutes in previously altered sections and those of the existing skin disease the same ( isomorphic ) are.

The Koebner phenomenon is described in, among other things:

  • Allergic Contact Dermatitis ( Kogoj phenomenon)
  • Lichen planus ( lichen )
  • Lupus erythematosus ( lupus )
  • Psoriasis ( psoriasis)
  • Vitiligo ( Lichen )
