Kofi Yamgnane

Kofi Yamgnane ( born October 10, 1945 in Bassar ) is a French politician of Togolese origin.

Yamgnane was born on 10 October 1945 in the Togolese city Bassar, the profession of mining engineer, he learned in France, since 1975 has Yamgnane dual nationality.

His political career began in 1983 as Yamgnane local politician of the Socialist Party in Brittany, 1989 he was elected mayor of the municipality of Saint- Coulitz, Dept. Finistère selected. Yamgnane was the first black mayors of France. In 1991 he was appointed Secretary of State for Integration at the Ministry of Social Affairs, first in the government Édith Cresson and then in the government Bérégovoys.
