Kogel

Kogel is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Zarrentin with headquarters in the city Zarrentin am Schaalsee.

The municipality consists of the villages of Kogel, Fliegenhof, wooden jug and Vietow, the independent until the end of 1972 municipalities Kölzin, Krohnshof and Pamprin and the settlement Schaalmühle.

Geography

History

Kogel itself was first mentioned in 1230 under its former name Cowale records in Ratzeburg tithe register. The village belonged to the parish Camin in the land of Wittenburg.
