Koh-Kae

The Mae - Ruay Snack Factory ( German Mae Ruay Snack Factory ) is a Thai manufacturer of snack products. His most famous product, Koh - Kae ( โก๋ แก่, Thai term for " bold man " ), roasted peanuts in different flavors, is exported to over fifty countries and in Thailand claims to the largest export commodity of snack products.

History

The origins of the company date back to 1964, when Chookiat and Jiraphorn Ruayjaroensap began roasted peanuts in heat-sealed plastic bags, each one baht to sell. Revenue increased in the next ten years continuously. 1976 had the peanuts have gained popularity enough that Chookiat and Jiraphorn could design a business plan in order to produce professional future on Earth. From 1979, the company began to develop new flavors to add variety to the product range. In 1998, the honey flavor for Koh - Kae and 1999, a rice cake, was introduced under the brand name Beary.

The position in the Thai market strengthened, Mae Ruay began to focus on the international market. In order to promote their own growth distributed Mae Ruay agents in seventeen distributors in fourteen other and distributors in almost fifty countries.
