Kohei Mitamura

Kohei Mitamura (Japanese三 田村 康 平, Mitamura Kohei; * February 19, 1992 in Obihiro, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese hockey player, who is since 2010 in the Ōji Eagles in the Asia League Ice Hockey under contract.

Career

Kohei Mitamura began his career as a hockey player at the Shirakaba Gakuen High School in Memuro. Even as a 18 -year-old he moved to the Ōji Eagles, where he has since under contract. With the team from Tomakomai, he won the 2012 Asia League Ice Hockey.

Internationally

For Japan Kohei Mitamura took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships Division I in 2009 and 2010 and the U20 World Junior Championships Division I 2011. In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the World Championships Division I 2012 and 2013. Moreover, he took in February 2013 participated in the qualifiers for the 2014 Winter Olympics, left with the Japanese team but despite home advantage already at Erstrundenturnier Nikko by a 1 :2- defeat of the crucial game against Great Britain.
