The koi pond should not be exposed to direct sunlight, but not completely isolated from it. The water should be tested regularly to the pH value and the content of oxygen, nitrite, nitrate, copper, ammonium, and ammonia. The waters must have a minimum depth of 1.3 m have, since the Koi keeping at this depth hibernation. You may then not be awakened or implemented. The animals should not be fed too generously, as they do not finish even the food intake when there is still something edible is in the environment.
