Ring

The ring - series consists of the following novels:

  • The Ring ( Ringu )
  • Spiral - The Ring II ( turf)
  • Loop - The Ring III (Loop)

The first two parts of the ring trilogy were filmed in Japan ( Ringu, turf), including a prequel, Ring 0: Birthday, based on the short story Lemon Heart, which later also in the ring 0: birthday appeared ( Bāsudei ). From Ringu there is also the Hollywood adaptation of The Ring and a Korean / Chinese film titled ring virus.

The central element of the Ring Cycle is a mysterious video that kills its viewers after exactly seven days. Each of the three novels does not develop in its own direction, but without retaining a degree of consistency. You can see the ring trilogy attributed the genre of psychological horror that was revived by Koji Suzuki.
