Kolubara

Kolubara in Valjevo

The Kolubara is a river in Serbia.

It arises in the town of Valjevo by the confluence of two smaller rivers Obnica and Jablanica. The Kolubara flows turn after about 100 km into the Sava.

The Kolubara is named after the Serbian district Kolubara and the mining company Rudarski bases Kolubara, its lignite mines are located several kilometers along the middle reaches of the river.
