Koman languages

Among the Komuz languages ​​( from coma and Gumuz contracted name ) refers to a group of relatively little -studied African languages ​​, which are spoken on both sides of the Sudanese- Ethiopian border. They are classified in the hypothetical family of the Nilo-Saharan languages. A subset of Komuz languages ​​form the coma languages.

According to Bender ( 2000), however, Gumuz and coma languages ​​do not form a genetic unit, although the same author had previously combined both.
