Komax Holding AG is a Swiss company for wire processing systems and automatic assembly machines. The Komax Group specializes in automation solutions and mechatronics. Komax Holding is listed on the Swiss Exchange SIX Swiss Exchange. Company is based in the canton of Lucerne Dierikon.

History

The company was founded in 1975 by Max Koch as an engineering office Komax, in reference to his name ( Max Koch ). In 1978, he transformed the company from a single company into a stock corporation. In 1981, the company expanded with the creation of Komax USA abroad. 1982 Komax launched the world's first electronically controlled automatic crimping machines.

In the first half of the 1990s, the company expanded abroad and founded subsidiaries in Portugal ( 1991), Germany, Singapore and Brazil ( 1994).
