Komorovice

Komorovice ( German Komorowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers south of the center of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Komorovice located in the Křemešnická Highlands, part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The village is located southwest of the forest area Panský les on a 592 m high wooded knoll. North-east rises the Krasna vyhlídka (662 m ) in the east of Holý vrch (662 m) and in the southeastern Vlčí Mountains (608 m) and northwest of the Havlův Kopec (632 m). In the West, State Road 551 between I/34/E Humpolec leads - Pelhřimov past Komorovice.

Neighboring towns are Vystrkov in the north, Lipovky, Vilémov and Plačkov in the northeast, Bystrá in the east, Brezina and Vlčí Hory in the southeast, Staré Bříště, Hojkovy and Mladé Bříště in the south, Rokosův Mlýn, Velky Rybnik and Záhoří the southwest, Kletečná and Smrdov in the West and Hněvkovice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1226.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Komorovice 1850 a district of the municipality in the district Staré Bříště captaincy Německý Brod. 1910 Komorovice with the district Vystrkov into an independent municipality in the district Humpolec. 1961 Komorovice was assigned to the Okres Pelhřimov. 1990 Vystrkov broke off and formed its own community.
