Komparu Zenchiku

Komparu Zenchiku (Japanese金 春 禅 竹, * 1405, † 1470 ), real name: Shichiro Ujinobu (七郎 氏 信) was a Japanese Noh actor and playwright.

The grandson of actor Komparu gon no Kami was a student of Zeami Motokiyo and probably his son in law. He joined Zen Buddhist thought with the Noh drama and started his own drama school, which was continued by his grandson Komparu Zempō and its descendants.

Besides Noh plays written Konparu several theoretical writings, including rokurin ichiro no ki (六 轮 一 露 之 记, literally " recording of the six circles and one dewdrop " ), inspired generations of scholars to new interpretations.
