Kong, Ivory Coast

The city of Kong is a city and a municipality in the Ivory Coast, in the region Savanes, with about 2,000 inhabitants.

She was from 1710 to 1895 the capital of the former kingdom of Kong.

History

Kong developed as a trade center, began as a distributor of the Mali Empire to build the kingdom of surrounding Senufovölker economic relations.

The sous- préfecture Kong, in the range of Kong to Dabakala is said to be the origin, where the dealer Mandevölker known as Diula in the 12th century immigrant from the Niger trough.
