Kong Ra District

Kong Ra ( Thai: กงหรา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phatthalung. The Phatthalung Province is located in southern Thailand, about 840 kilometers south of Bangkok on the Malay Peninsula.

Geography

Neighboring districts and areas (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Srinagarindra, Mueang Phatthalung, Khao Chaison and Tamot in Phatthalung Province and Amphoe Yan Ta Khao Palian and in the province of Trang.

History

Kong Ra was born on October 1, 1975 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established as the Tambon Kong Ra, Khlong Chaloem and Charat Amphoe Mueang Phatthalung were separated from. On July 13, 1981 Kong Ra was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Kong Ra is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 45 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Charat ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชะ รัต ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It consists of the whole tambon Charat.

In addition, there are four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
