Kongesangen

Kongesangen is the king anthem of Norway. The original text ( Gud signe congenic ago), which was revised several times, however, comes from Henrik Wergeland. Today and version below comes from Gustav Jensen, who in 1906 wrote for the coronation of King Haakon VII. Jensen was inspired by the British royal and national anthem " God Save the Queen" and the same melody used.
