Konijeti Rosaiah

K. Rosaiah ( Konijeti Rosaiah, Telugu: కొణిజేటి రోశయ్య Koṇijēṭi Rōsayya; born July 4, 1933 Vemuru ) is an Indian politician (Congress Party). He's since August 31, 2011 Governor of the state of Tamil Nadu. Previously, he was Chief Minister of 2009-2010 ( head of government) of the state of Andhra Pradesh, 1979-1983, 1989-1994 and 2004-2010 Minister in the government of the state as well as from 1998 to 1999 deputy in the Lok Sabha.

Life

K. Rosaiah was born on July 4, 1933 in the village in the district of Guntur Vemuru in the coastal region of present-day Andhra Pradesh. He comes from an entity belonging to middle class peasant family. His education Castle K. Rosaiah with a Bachelor in Economics at the Hindu College in Guntur. During his studies he was high school politically active and in 1952 was elected general secretary of the student council at his college.

1968 K. Rosaiah first time for the Congress Party in the upper house ( Legislative Council ) was elected as the federal state parliament of Andhra Pradesh, 1974 and 1980, the re-election. From 1978 to 1979 he served as Leader of the Opposition in the Upper House. 1979 appointed the Chief Minister ( Head of Government ) M. Chenna Reddy K. Rosaiah to Minister for Roads and construction. In the succeeding reign T. Anjaiahs he held from 1980 to 1981, the Office of Housing and Minister of Transport. Under K. Vijayabhaskar Reddy he was finally from 1982 to 1983 Minister of the Interior. In the elections in Andhra Pradesh 1983, the Congress Party was replaced by the Telugu Desam Party in the government, which Rosaiah lost his ministerial post. Instead, he once again took over the office of the opposition leader in the upper house until it was abolished in 1985.

1989 K. Rosaiah entered successfully in Chirala constituency at the time of election for the lower house ( Legislative Assembly ) of the Parliament of Andhra Pradesh. As a result of the election the Congress Party returned to power, and M. Chenna Reddy became Chief Minister for the second time. In whose reign K. Rosaiah served until 1990 as Minister of Finance, Energy, Transportation, higher education, weaving, textiles and Legislative Affairs. After Chenna Reddy was replaced by N. Janardhana Reddy, Rosaiah served from 1991 to 1992 as Minister of Health. 1992 K. Vijayabhaskar Reddy was chief minister again. In his government Rosaiah was until 1994 the financial, energy and health ministers.

In the elections in Andhra Pradesh 1994, the Congress was voted out again, even K. Rosaiah lost his constituency on Telugu Desam Party of the candidate. Instead, he took over from 1995 to 1997 the office of chairman of the Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh. In 1998 he went to at the all-India parliamentary elections in the constituency and Narasaraopet managed a place in the Lok Sabha ( the lower house of the total Indian Parliament ). When a new 1999 but did not occur again. Instead, he tried to enter parliament again at the same time held federal state election in Andhra Pradesh, but was defeated again the candidate of the Telugu Desam Party victorious. Only at the next election in 2004, which decided the Congress Party itself, he managed to re-entry in the constituency Chirala. He was then Minister of Finance, Planning, Legislative Affairs, Health and Family Welfare in the Government of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. After expiry of the period of legislature, Rosaiah was elected to the House of Lords has now been introduced again in 2009. His minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the government, which had been confirmed at the general election in office, he maintained.

September 2, 2009 Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy died in a helicopter crash. A day later, K. Rosaiah was sworn in as his successor as Chief Minister. After only 14 months in office, Rosaiah resigned on 24 November 2010. The reason of the now 77 -year-old Rosaiah was on his advanced age and work pressure. He was succeeded by N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. After the end of his political party in Andhra Pradesh K. Rosaiah career was appointed by the State President Pratibha Patil as Governor of the state of Tamil Nadu on August 26, 2011.
