Konrad Schily

Konrad Schily ( born November 7, 1937 in Bochum ) is a German physician and politician (FDP). From 1982 to 1999 and from 2002 to 2004 he was president of the University of Witten / Herdecke.

Life

Education and work

After graduating from high school in 1957 in Wuppertal Schily graduated in medicine in Tübingen and Hamburg, which he finished in 1964 with the state exam. After the subsequent time as a medical assistant he became in 1966 assistant physician at the University Hospital Tuebingen. 1966, here his MD thesis with the thesis " The behavior of the postrotatory nystagmus after multiple rotations and under the influence of fatigue ."
